As the end of the year approaches, we are all grappling with how best to prepare ourselves and our organizations for what might lie ahead in 2022. The “Great Resignation” continues and employees are demanding a different and better employee experience.

The EXchange is an annual, one-day interactive, virtual event designed to address three top challenges as we look ahead to the coming year. The key focus areas for 2022 include:

  • Responding to the Mental Health Crisis

  • Building Community at Work

  • Deploying “Next Generation” Management Practices

This is a unique virtual event using non-traditional technology featuring multiple ways of learning in a safe and structured way. You’ll experience learning from experts, practitioners, and peers through various formats. Virtual tables will be used for intimate discussions as well as for informal networking. Not interested in having your camera or mic on but want to access all the great content? Feel free to utilize the "general seating", or you can register for the event and we'll send you the links to the on demand videos of the sessions for you to watch at your leisure.

For each key focus area, leading thinkers and experts will share their advice for how to successfully navigate this new landscape of work. After the deep-dive session with subject-matter experts, there will be a virtual table discussion with your peers on what’s happening and how to best put these ideas into practice. Following the peer-to-peer exchange, a panel session will take place with practitioners who are already successfully implementing programs tackling these top challenges. In addition to the planned sessions, there will be a chance to informally network and expand your connection base.

It’s a dynamic and interactive experience like nothing else you’ve experienced this year. If you want to thrive in 2022, don’t miss this state-of-the-art virtual event. We can’t wait to see you at The EXchange 2021!

Responding to the Mental Health Crisis

A lasting legacy of this pandemic will be the elevation of mental health support as a necessary element of the work experience. Study after study reveal both how shockingly prevalent mental health issues are today and how woefully underprepared most organizations are to effectively respond.

The silver lining may be greater destigmatization and understanding of mental health and illness, but that alone won’t address the crisis before us. Together, we’ll explore what more can and should be done in the domain of mental health to ensure your employees can flourish in the coming year.

Building Community at Work

As work has become more distributed and “hybrid” has become the norm, a top challenge for many organizations is how to maintain culture and ensure employees still feel a sense of connection. Traditional approaches tied to a physical workplace just aren’t feasible so new approaches are required.

In this session, we’ll explore how organizations and leaders must think beyond culture and endeavor to make work feel like an inclusive and meaningful community. We’ll investigate what this shift means and share insights into the most important actions you can take to make progress in 2022.

Deploying Next Generation Management Practices

As the way we work has been disrupted over the past eighteen months, so too has the role of the manager. Managers are now expected to not only manage performance, but to also support employee well-being, ensure inclusion and safety, and do it all when you can’t even be with your team in-person. Traditional management practices weren’t designed with this in mind.

A new era of work requires an updated set of management practices and mindsets. In this session, we’ll investigate how we must reskill and upskill our managers to support employees in a post-pandemic world of work. We’ll also discuss what the biggest opportunities and challenges are to re-training managers as well as the highest impact places to begin this process.
